Nose: Complex and rich in aromas of dried fruit, figs, raisins and candied orange peel, with notes of honey, vanilla, and slight spicy hints of cinnamon and nutmeg.
Palate: Balanced and smooth sweetness, characterized by a full-bodied structure with a pleasant freshness. The wine envelops the palate with flavors of ripe fruit, toasted almonds and caramel, accompanied by a long and persistent finish with light notes of cocoa and sweet spices.
Alcohol content: 18%
Serving temperature: 14/16°C
Pairings: Ideal with aged cheeses, almond-based desserts, dry pastries, dark chocolate and traditional Sicilian desserts. Also perfect on its own as a meditation wine.
Terroir: The grapes for this Marsala come from calcareous and clayey soils typical of western Sicily, which give the wine its rich minerality and the ability to evolve in the bottle for a long time.
Vinification: After a long fermentation partially interrupted to maintain a slight residual sugar, the wine matures in oak barrels for over 10 years. This long aging develops the complex aromatic profile and enriches the wine's structure.
