Nose: Fine, ethereal, and complex, characterized by notes of small ripe red fruits, cherry, and raspberry, enriched by floral hints of violet and dried rose, with delicate spicy and balsamic undertones
Palate: Dry, fresh, and medium-to-full bodied, distinguished by a vibrant acidic backbone, dense and well-chiselled tannins, with a long, mineral, and persistent finish
Alcohol content: 13.5% Vol.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C (brief aeration or decanting recommended)
Pairings: Roasted red meats, stews, sliced beef (tagliata), game birds, porcini mushroom risotto, and aged Ticinese alpine cheeses
Terroir: Calcareous-clay hillside soils of Coldrerio, with the sunny and breezy microclimate of the Mendrisiotto, ideal for slow and complete phenolic ripening
Vinification: Manual harvest with strict selection of bunches. Fermentation and maceration at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, followed by aging in second-fill French oak barriques to preserve the grape's varietal expression without overpowering it with wood
Description: Enrico Trapletti's Nebbiolo represents one of the most original and courageous interpretations of Ticino winemaking. In a region historically and predominantly dedicated to Merlot, Trapletti demonstrates how this noble Piedmontese variety can express itself at the foot of Monte San Giorgio with extraordinary purity, combining typical acidic tension and sharp tannic structure with a sober and territorial elegance. A red wine of great character and notable longevity, produced in limited quantities.
