Color: Intense cherry red with ruby highlights
Nose: Complex aromas of ripe black fruits such as blackberry and plum, accompanied by spicy notes of black pepper and cloves, with nuances of dark chocolate and a hint of eucalyptus.
Taste: Full-bodied and structured on the palate, with velvety tannins and lively acidity. Flavors of black fruit integrate with notes of sweet spices, vanilla, and a touch of tobacco, culminating in a long, persistent finish with traces of cocoa.
Serving Temperature: 15-16°C
Pairings: Ideal with grilled red meats, roasts, game, and aged cheeses. It also pairs well with mushroom-based dishes and hearty stews.
Terroir: Numanthia is produced from old vines over 50 years old, grown on the sandy and clay soils typical of the Toro denomination, which give the wine extraordinary concentration and complexity. The continental climate with hot summers and harsh winters fosters perfect grape ripening.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-harvested and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by 18 months of aging in new French oak barrels, which helps develop elegance and structure.
