Grape variety: Merlot.
Color: Intense, brilliant ruby red, tending towards purple.
Nose: Intense and elegant, with hints of red berries, cherries, and vanilla.
Palate: Harmonious and well-balanced, with good complexity and structure. The tannins are present but silky and of remarkable finesse.
Serving temperature: 16-18°C.
Pairings: Pairs well with red meats, game, and aged cheeses.
Terroir: The Tenimento La Prella, located in Genestrerio, a district of Mendrisio, possesses soil and climate characteristics that give its wines great aromatic finesse and an elegant body, marked by silky tannins and moderate acidity.
Vinification: Long maceration in oak vats, malolactic fermentation, and 18 months of aging in French oak barriques, 30% of which are new and the rest second and third-fill.
