Origin: Sicily, Italy (Tancredi IGP)
Grape Variety: Nero d’Avola, Cabernet Sauvignon
Color: Intense ruby red with violet reflections
Nose: Intense and complex, with dominant notes of ripe forest fruits, plum, and black cherry, intertwined with hints of sweet spices, tobacco, chocolate, and light balsamic notes that evoke the wine's Mediterranean character.
Palate: On the palate, it is structured and harmonious, with well-integrated but velvety tannins and good acidity that provides freshness. Long finish, with pleasant nuances of ripe fruit and spices, supported by a delicate mineral note that adds depth.
Alcohol content: 14%
Serving temperature: 16-18°C
Pairings: Ideal for accompanying red meat dishes, such as roasts and braised meats, grilled meats, and aged cheeses. Also excellent with spicy Mediterranean cuisine and dishes based on eggplant and mushrooms.
Terroir: Coming from the limestone and clay soils of the Sicilian hills, Tancredi benefits from a hot and dry climate that contributes to the optimal ripening of the grapes, giving the wine aromatic richness and an enveloping tannic structure.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and vinified separately. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in steel, followed by aging in barriques for about 12 months. Subsequently, the wine rests in the bottle for another 24 months, developing a refined aromatic complexity and an optimal balance between fruit and structure.
