Terroir: The island of Negros, nicknamed “Sugarlandia”, is the heart of sugar cane production in the Philippines. The tropical climate and fertile soils ensure the highest quality cane, giving the molasses a unique richness of aromas.
Production:
The molasses is fermented and distilled in small-batch stills, then the distillate matures in ex-bourbon American oak barrels. The combination of the hot, humid climate and the wood imparts complexity and sweetness to the rum.
