Origin: Tottori Prefecture, Japan – Matsui Shuzō Distillery (Kurayoshi Distillery)
Raw material: 100% malted barley (Pure Malt, a blend of different malts, partly of Scottish origin, refined and matured in Japan)
Color: Warm gold with amber highlights
Nose: Elegant and layered, with notes of vanilla, honey, melted butter, toasted hazelnut, and sweet spices; nuances of dried fruit, citrus zest, and a touch of balsamic emerge, providing freshness.
Palate: Smooth, enveloping, and complex. Creamy vanilla, honey, milk chocolate, and almond stand out on the palate, supported by oak, light spices, and a hint of delicate smoke. The balance between sweetness and minerality makes it persistent and refined.
Alcohol content: 43% vol. (some special editions reach 50%)
Serving temperature: 18/20 °C – ideal enjoyed neat, with a drop of still water, or with a large ice cube.
Pairings: It pairs well with high-quality dark chocolate, mild cigars, aged hard cheeses, and desserts with dried fruits. Excellent as a meditation whisky after a meal.
Terroir: Maturation takes place in Kurayoshi, in the heart of Tottori Prefecture. American white oak (ex-bourbon) casks provide roundness and sweetness, while the pure water filtered through the volcanic rocks of Mount Daisen imparts freshness and clarity.
Aging: 18 years in American ex-bourbon oak casks.

The long maturation produces a complex and balanced whisky, where the sweetness of the malt merges with spicy and woody notes for a rich yet elegant sip.
